Drinking Extra Virgin Olive Oil

I have decided to begin drinking 1/4 cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil every morning before I eat anything else. I immediately follow it with some lemon juice mixed in warm water. I have been doing it for 7 days (including today). Here is what I have learned so far:

-Nasty: I am not a huge fan of the flavor, and its nastiness continues even after I wash it down with the warm water. In the beginning, the aftertaste and burping would last for hours. Now, it is only bad for the first half hour or so.
-Filling: I am not sure whether the olive oil was filling, or if the taste was bothering me so much I just didn't want to eat. However, even now I find that my morning omelet lasts me until mid-afternoon and sometimes even dinner time.
-Day 4 I experienced some serious nausea in the late afternoon that was accompanied by some burps that tasted like Olive Oil. My head felt almost feverish, and I had no desire to eat (even though I hadn't eaten since breakfast). These effects lasted for about an hour.
-It definitely acts as a lubricant. I noticed when I wiped after my bowel movement on day 6 (yesterday) the toilet paper had a liquidy substance that had the same color and consistency as olive oil.

A simple Google search of "Drinking Olive Oil" will give you an idea of the reasons why I chose to do it.

The fight with the green nasty.

Update!!! Green nasty 1, Jared Hess 0

The green nasty did its job well. It cleaned out my system, provided me with a lot of green vegetables, and tasted horrible. However, it was far too nasty to continue!

The Green Nasty

Here's a pre-blended photo of the ingredients
Today marks DAY 1 of my new diet. I don't know if I'd call it just a diet as much as my quest to lose 30 pounds. There are a number of different things I'll need to do to get there.
The main thing I'm doing is up-ing my vegetable intake by drinking something that I like to call The Green Nasty.
The first thing I did was I went through and analyzed which vegetables would give me the most benefit nutritionally. I then calculated how many of them I would need to eat everyday, and made a plan to blend them into a smoothie. But just looking at the ingredients, I knew this smoothie would be NASTY!!
Here's "The Green Nasty" (thanks to my
amazing-3-horse-powered-blendtec!)
So, two options - add things to make it tasty, or add water to water it down and just chug it. Since I'm not going for taste as much as for nutrition, and since I need water anyway, option number two it is.
The result - it is definitely nasty. It's at least better once it is watered down, but still, there's a burning aftertaste from a couple of the ingredients.
So, we'll see how long I last with this, but it is a start!!
Stick around and follow my journey to see just what it takes, and how long it takes, for me to lose 30 pounds.
